Job Description

We are looking for an Operations and Supply Chain Manager, experienced in international shipping and customs clearance procedures in the field of Hardware / Electronic Equipment / IT & Telecom Infrastructure to plan and coordinate our daily shipments, maintain a prompt communication and strong connections with the customers.

To succeed in this role, you should own responsibility for ensuring the right products are delivered to the right location on time, to the quality required and in the most cost effective way; oversee the distribution and transportation of goods from the supplier to the consumer.

Ultimately, you will ensure that all shipments are handled quickly, safely and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise the shipments from a customer to the end-user; freight bookings, import/export management.
• Schedule daily and weekly routes
• Prepare and handle complex import / export permits and certifications in Israel and abroad
• Track orders using functional systems (e.g. barcodes and tracking software)
• Track payments and charges, issue invoices
• Written and verbal negotiation with both suppliers and customers discussing export and import freight shipments.
• Maintain a professional, helpful and positive attitude to work colleagues, suppliers and especially customers.
• Coordinate with Warehouse Workers to ensure proper storage and distribution of products
• Monitor and report on transportation costs
• Ensure shipping documents are properly filed
• Research and suggest cost-effective shipping methods
• Organize training sessions for employees (e.g. proper handling of special kinds of shipments and documentation)
• Keep organized records of customers, schedules and completed orders
• Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping legislation
• Stay up-to-date with safety regulations
• Working with an experienced Management team this role will suit an individual who is passionate, ambitious and wishes to develop a career in international logistics while working for a financially strong and stable company

Qualification and Experience Requirements

• Possess excellent organizational, attention to detail and administrative skills.
• Ambitious with a desire to succeed
• Proven work experience as a Transportation Manager, Shipping Manager or similar role.
• Experience in working import / export, customs clearance, incoterms, IOR, EOR
• Solid knowledge of supply chain management
• Experience preparing and tracking orders
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to supervise and train staff
• Problem-solving abilities
• Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or relevant field. Engineering education is an advantage.
• Languages: Hebrew, English, Russian – Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential
